ALS Awareness Night, Hosted by ERA Team VP Real Estate, Shines a Spotlight on the Fight Against ALS, Inspired by Baseball Legend Lou Gherig

[Jamestown, NY] – ERA Team VP Real Estate & Vacation Rentals invites our communities to join us for ALS Awareness Night at the home of the Jamestown Tarp Skunks on Thursday, June 8 at 6:30 PM. The event, created in celebration of Lou Gherig Day (June 2), will aim to raise awareness and support for individuals and families affected by Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) in our communities.

ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord, resulting in the loss of muscle control and ultimately leading to paralysis. It is estimated that over 20,000 Americans are living with ALS, and every 90 minutes, someone is diagnosed with this devastating condition.

ALS Awareness Night pays tribute to the legacy of baseball legend Lou Gehrig, whose career with the New York Yankees was cut short by the disease. Lou Gehrig’s impactful journey and his unwavering courage in the face of ALS inspired countless individuals and sparked a global awareness of the disease.

The goal of ALS Awareness Night is to bring together the community, baseball fans, and local organizations to generate support, raise funds, and increase public understanding of ALS. By uniting under the banner of a beloved national pastime and honoring Lou Gehrig’s legacy, this event aims to create a memorable experience while contributing to the fight against ALS.

Bill Soffel, ERA Team VP Broker/Owner and ALS Association Advisory Board Member, “ALS Awareness Night is an occasion to stand together as a community and rally behind those affected by ALS. Inspired by the remarkable strength of Lou Gehrig, we aim to bring attention to the challenges faced by individuals living with ALS, as well as the need for improved treatments and a cure. We invite everyone to join us for a memorable evening of baseball, education, and compassion.”

Join the Jamestown Tarp Skunks and ERA Team VP Real Estate as we come together to raise awareness, provide hope, and support the ongoing fight against ALS, inspired by the indomitable spirit of Lou Gehrig.
